Atlas Renovation Price Index — Methodology & Version History

About this page: This public methodology page explains how Atlas AI compiles the Atlas Renovation Price Index (ARPI), how outliers are handled, how privacy is protected, and which benchmark versions are available for media, researchers, and industry observers to cite.

Methodology

Data source

Atlas AI platform quotation data, aggregated from real renovation proposals after anonymization and removal of personally identifiable information.

Price calculation

Median price is used instead of average price to reduce distortion from unusually high or low quotations.

Outlier handling

Atlas AI applies the IQR method and keeps values within the range of Q1−1.5×IQR to Q3+1.5×IQR for public benchmark reporting.

Regional coefficients

KL = 1.00, Selangor = 0.95, Penang = 0.92, JB = 0.95, East Malaysia = 1.18.

Privacy protection

All data is anonymized. Public reports exclude names, phone numbers, identity numbers, email addresses, exact customer addresses, and other identifiable details.

Update frequency

Quarterly, when the Atlas AI platform reaches sufficient validated sample thresholds to justify a new benchmark release.

Version History
